Rawage: Triumph of sin
31/12/12 || Cobal
Prima facie, what we have here are three tracks of derivative death black metal that didn’t do much for me. Afterwards, I noticed that even though this is something I’d sort of listened to before, there was no way to say it sounds exactly like… Furthermore, after thoroughly listening to them, I can say that the three songs here were well written, and competently played and recorded. It’s not common that a band playing this sub-genre are any good at all at writing themes coherently and making them memorable. At first, I had wondered whether or not anyone needs another death black metal act; now, I answer myself that what we do need is that the acts that there are actually can play and write songs. Yes, like Rawage.
8/10: I dig this.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
